New Module Opening Dates in Canvas

Canvas, the system the university uses for your module materials, will be available from Mon 4 September. From that date, you will have Canvas access by the morning after you have completed the online enrolment process and have collected your student ID card. When your lecturer has published your module, you will be able to sign up for your seminars. Canvas can be accessed from your portal home page, using the link on the left hand side of the screen and you can download the free Canvas app.

Canvas is the online home for your module materials.

You can use Canvas to do the following:

  • Access your module materials, including lecture recordings, online 24/7
  • Submit assignments
  • Access grades and feedback
  • Access your reading lists

    1. Hi Laura,

First year Undergraduate students will be allocated modules on Friday 11th September and will be able to pick you your ID card on either Sunday 13th or Monday 14th, you will then be able to access your modules later in the day that your card was collected.

  1. Hello,

I’m a new first year and got my ID card yesterday and completed my enrolment. I thought after that my modules would show up on canvas but it’s been 24 hours and they haven’t. Is that normal?

    Thanks,

    Gayle
